TAU Unbound - Episode #20: Why Archeology is the Science of the Future?
In episode #20 of TAU Unbound, host Ido Aharoni Aronoff introduces us to the great work of acclaimed archeologist Prof. Yuval Gadot. He has served as the Head of the Nadler Institute of Archaeology at Tel-Aviv University and is a lead archaeologist at the ‘City of David’ excavations project. Among his many other roles, Prof. Gadot is also the co-director of the ‘Givati Parking Lot’ Excavations and a leader of an environmental study of the rural landscape surrounding the city of Jerusalem. Gadot obtained his PhD in 2004 from Tel-Aviv University and throughout his illustrious career was exposed to the many possibilities to learn about the future by exploring our collective past. Prof. Gadot is a proponent of combining science and archaeology. Since 2018 Gadot serves as the Head of the Department of Archaeology and Ancient Near Eastern Cultures at Tel-Aviv University.
